Summary
Since losing the family farm, and her mum leaving, home for 13-year-old Kennedy has been the back of a horse truck, travelling to remote stock camps with her dad. Her dad is determined to find enough money to get them a place to call their own, to keep them together. So when they are given a young grey gelding to be trained and sold, Kennedy knows that she can't get attached. Because if home is where the heart is, then she better not let a horse steal her heart
