Summary
Reclusive Gothic writer R. M. Holland was most famous for his chilling story THE STRANGER. His house is now a school, Talgarth High, rumoured to be haunted by the ghost of Holland's murdered wife. The rumours also claim Holland was her murderer. Clare Cassidy teaches at Talgarth High and is writing a biography of Holland. When her friend and colleague is found dead, a line from THE STRANGER by her side, Detective Sergeant Harbinder Kaur isn't sure whether Clare is a valuable expert witness or a suspect.
