From hoards of gold coins worth millions of pounds revealing ancient trade with the continent to Viking household items blessed with magic spells, combs that tell of self conscious Iron Age Britons to stunning Roman sculpture. In partnership with the British Museum's Portable Antiquities Scheme, the new series of Britain's Secret Treasures also joins forces with Treasure Trove Scotland and the Ulster Museum to include stories of outstanding artifacts discovered by members of the public in Scotland and Northern Ireland
