Summary
Twelve-year-old Lowen, a budding comic-book artist, is still reeling from the shooting death of his friend when he stumbles across an article about a former mill town selling homes for just one dollar. It seems not only the perfect escape from Flintlock and all the awful memories associated with the city, but also an opportunity for his mum to start her own business.
