- Each year when more than 50,000 American families receive an autism diagnosis, they find themselves asking the same question: What can we do to help our child? The conventional approach is to medicate difficult behaviors -- suppressing symptoms while leaving underlying health challenges untouched. But now, Dr. Janet Lintala, founder of the Autism Health Center and a mother of an autistic child herself, shares the protocols used in her practice to target the underlying issues associated with autism in order to bring transformative results: less pain, less aggression, and more receptivity toward behavioral and educational interventions.
